Culver City Symphony Orchestra celebrates the arrival of Spring and Earth Day

For our Spring concert, we celebrate the changing of the seasons and prepare for Earth Day. We open with the waltz “Voices of Spring” by Johann Strauss II in the original version with soprano solo, followed by one of Aaron Copland’s best-loved works, the Suite from the ballet Appalachian Spring. Then we travel with Beethoven into the countryside and get caught in a thunderstorm in his Symphony No. 6, the "Pastoral."
The Culver City Symphony Orchestra is led by our new Music Director-Conductor, Clyde Mitchell, with Brooke deRosa, soprano.
