Thursday, July 14, 2016 | 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.       Viktor Frankl first presented his model as Logotherapy. He developed logotherapy and existential analysis in the 1930's.  Existential analysis is designed to bring to consciousness the "hidden" meaning or spiritual dimension of a client.  The focus is on the human spirit and "the meaning of human existence as well as on "man's search for such a meaning."  Dr. Paul Wong has been a pioneer in advancing Viktor Frankl's model into what we call Meaning Centered Therapy. The use of Meaning Centered Therapy as an integrative tool used in 12-Step programs and other addiction modalities, such as Motivational Interviewing, can enhance a deeper and transformational experience for the person struggling with addiction/abuse.  Meaning Centered Therapy focuses on personal meaning as the central theme, which enables one to embrace choice, commitment, and the courage to be authentic in one's life.   Course Objectives: Discuss the philosophy of Meaning Centered Therapy Explain how to integrate Meaning Centered Therapy into any unit of treatment associated with   addiction/abuse (e.g., individual, group, family, and couples)  List long term benefits of Meaning Centered Therapy in Addiction   Click Here to Register!             Marriott Courtyard, 6333 Bristol Parkway, Culver City, CA, 90230   There is no cost to attend this Program.
